The thesis consists of 3 parts; Part 1 dealing with the study of Deuteron polarizations in certain reactions; Part 2 dealing with the scattering of pions from nuclei in the frame work of shell model; And Part 3 dealing with strong interactions, with a detailed study of isobar production in nucleon-nucleon collisions, where a generalization of the one pion exchange model.
