Library Facilities
The Library provides a comfortable and supportive atmosphere for faculty, students and researchers. The library is centrally airconditioned and housed in three floors spread about 28,000 sq ft floor area. There is also a separate reading room for general books collection. 24x7 access to the library is facilitated through RFID based Access Control System.
All the library functions are fully automated using an integrated library management software. The library has two network servers and 10 network Terminals. These network terminals are used for accessing library online catalogs and other electronic resources.
The library has installed RFID based system to facilitate 24X7 self check-out and check-in of library materials. The system includes a pair of sensor gates, one self check-out station, one self-check-in/book drop station, one tagging station and one inventory and stack manager.
In order to utilise the limited space available effectively, Compact storage system (Mobile Racks) has been installed that holds all the bound volumes.
Library has photocopying facilities. It also has a wheel chair.
