| Summary, etc | This thesis is organised into two parts. Part I deals with 'Parton Model Phenomenology', a study of polarisation asymmetries, shedding more light on spin content of the proton. A complete set of processes that yield information on the spin dependent valence quark, gluon and sea quark distributions within the proton. Part II deals with the study of nuclear spin dependent structure functions g1(x) and g2(x) as well as their moments. The higher moments of the spin dependent structure function g1^p(x), using the OPE technique are discussed, and it is shown that a mass scale typical of the quark model scale emerges from the ratios of these moments. Support for results obtained is provided in a non-Perturbative Bag model. |
